Marion Anna « GG » Stashuk:
Passed away suddenly at the age of 90 on Monday, July 15, 2019. Mother to Michael (Linda), Carol, Daniel (Barb), and Pat (Bob). Grandmother to Sean, Kyle, Jeff, Brad, Andrew, Kari, Greg, Jess and Kelly and their spouses. Tony, Savannah, Josh, Brandon, Abby, Max, Hayden, Ben, Charlotte, Shayna, Emma, Lauren, Abby, and Tyler will all miss GG. Marion will be dearly missed by her brother William Zuurhoud Jr. (Jean). Marion was predeceased by her loving husband Stephen.
Mom was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a special lady, who loved to sing; she was a « Sweet Adeline » for over 30 years. She had a very active social life. If you knew her, you loved her. Many people witnessed her empathetic nature over the years. She also cherished and valued her many dear friends and neighbours and the support they offered her throughout the years.
Marion’s family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue at 12 noon Saturday, July 20, 2019 followed by a Memorial Service on at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
