Marcella passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in Calgary at the age of 84 years.
She loved to spend time watching her Flames and playing Scrabble. Marcella is survived by Yvan, her loving husband of 64.9 years; her children, Frances (Roland), Gaby, and Ann (Bob); her grandchildren, Chantelle (Aaron), Amy (Naomi), Justin (Kira), and Daniel; her great-grandchildren, Liam, Sonny, Xavier and another baby on the way; as well as many extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Mike, in 2009.
A short memorial service will be held at St. Thomas More Church (15 Templebow Road NE) on Saturday July 13, 2019 at 1:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, Marcella suggested to “roll up your sleeve and donate” to Canadian Blood Services (200 Barclay Parade SW, Unit #10, Calgary, AB T2P 4R5; 888-236-6283), or directly to a charity of choice. We wish to extend our great appreciation and thanks to the staff of Whitehorn Retirement Village for their tremendous kindness and comfort to Marcella and our family.
