Gerald
Blaine Hiltz – age 69, of Kentville, passed away peacefully
on Friday, July 19, 2019 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.
Born in Windsor, he was the son of the late Marshall and Nancy
(Spinney) Hiltz. Gerald was a tire builder with Michelin for 30 years.
He loved gardening, was a self taught artist and an excellent
handyman. Gerald was a gentle and soft spoken man who was a loving
husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 44 wonderful years,
Dorothy (Hennessey); sons, Jeremy (Jeanie), Red Deer, Alta.; Chris
(Keri), Red Deer, Alta.; sisters, Betty (Graham) Williams, Sydney;
brothers, Laurie (Irene), Sackville; Randy (Sharon), New Minas; nieces
and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Pat
Mullett; brothers, Lionel and Dale. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in the
White Family Funeral Home, where the funeral service, followed by a
meet and greet, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24,
2019, Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. Burial will take place in
the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. Donations in memory
can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have
been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation
Services, Kentville.
