It is with great sadness that the family of the late Emily Young of Irishtown-Summerside, announce her passing on Sunday, July 7, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 66 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend Mervin, their children Richard (Kira), April (Todd), and Robert (Violet); 7 grandchildren: Gabriel, Olivia, Alexander, Tyler, Chelsea, Cassidy and Kaitlyn; sisters: Diane (Weldon), Paulette, Barbara (Mark), Alecia (Steve); brothers: Carl (Gail), Gregory, Bruce, Gideon, Roger (Pam), Robert, Rodney and Richard (Michelle); brothers in-law: Raymond and Nicholas; sisters in-law: Joan (George), Vera (Dave), and Bernice . As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Emily, father Richard, brother Ambrose and sister Judy. As per Emilys wishes Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday, July 9th from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of her life will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday, July 10th at 10 a.m. with Father Ray officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in her memory to a Charity of One’s Choice, or to the Cancer Care Center at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
