It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of David at the St. Boniface Hospital on Friday July 19, 2019
David will be sadly missed by his sister Sandra (children Kyle and Page), brothers Dwayne (children Ben, Emily and Luke), Robert (Melanie, children Carissa, Matthew and Seth), John (daughter Brittany) and stepmother Pat Winecker.
He was predeceased by his mother Hilda, father John and stepfather John Winecker.
David was the second child, born Oct.3, 1962 in Winnipeg. He spent his childhood in Winnipeg finally settling in with Don and Kay MacKay in 1975 then moved to New Jersey and found a home with John and Pat Winecker. He loved both families dearly.
David lived in St Petersburg Florida in his 20s and 30s before returning to Winnipeg and connecting with his family. His siblings would like to thank all those who opened their hearts and cared for David.
A celebration of life will take place Tuesday July 30 11am at the Salvation Army Weetamam 324 Logan Ave. Pastor Brian Dueck officiating. Reception to follow.
David will be laid to rest at Ebb and Flow near his mother at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Salvation Army Weetaman 324 Logan Ave., or the Winnipeg Humane Society 45 Hurst Way.
