UPSON, Catherine (Cathy) Anne (née McKeen) – Mrs. Cathy Upson passed away surrounded by her husband and two daughters at her home in Guelph on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the age of 76 years. Beloved wife of Harry Upson for 55 years. Proud and loving mother of Kelly and Mary-Jo Upson. Cherished grandmother of Taylor, Joshua, Adeline and Ivan. Cathy is survived by her siblings Fred, Joan and Mandy. Pre-deceased by her parents Frank and Mary (née Gruenig) McKeen. Cathy will be deeply missed by extended family and loved ones.
Cathy enjoyed her family, cooking, baking and traveling around the world. Everyone who met her immediately felt at ease. She was very kind, had a quiet honesty, generosity of spirit and strong resolve.
In honour of Cathy’s wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the Guelph Legion (57 Watson Parkway South, Guelph) from 1-3p.m. A light lunch will be served. Cremation has taken place. Private interment at Wattenwyle Cemetery, South River, Ontario to take place at a later date.
