Alma Grace Ellis
June 19, 1945 – July 28, 2019
It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother, Alma Grace Ellis, 74, on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mom was a devoted mother, nanny, Christian and faithful friend; always there to support anyone who needed her. The « hub » of our family. Her greatest joy came from spending time outdoors, volunteering in her community, travelling the world and berry picking in the summer. Her homemade bannock, strawberry shortcake, and raspberry jam were famous in our family. She was also known to never turn down a cone of ice cream. Mom was also a devoted member of the Victory Pentecostal Tabernacle Church.
She was born in Summerside, PEI on June 19, 1945 to the late Lloyd and Edna Born: June 19, 1945

Plumstead (Marla), Martin Plumstead (Christine) and Brad Plumstead (Karah);
the « Apples of her eye » grandchildren, Kayla and Heidi Steeves (Taylor), Maddy
and Marty Plumstead and Jacob Basque; sister and brothers, Irvine Ellis
(Annette), Rosalie Laughlin (John), Donald Ellis (Debbie) and Richard Ellis
(Raymonde); beloved « Auntie » to many nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by her parents and brother, Carl Ellis.
Celebration of life will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 12 noon with Pastor Emily Houle officiating. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
