Obituary of Allan Sherman
Allan Sherman, 54 of Berwick. On Friday, July 26, 2019, Allan passed away peacefully at home. Born in New Glasgow on April 17, 1965, Allan grew up surrounded by his loving family in Berwick NS.
Allan enjoyed many sports throughout his life, including hockey (CK Gators, where he set scoring records, and the Valley Jets). He also enjoyed ball and loved outdoor activities including fishing, hunting and four-wheeling.
Allan could be found almost every evening enjoying an energetic game of “Bid” with his family (of course he never lost)… He valued his weekends each year at the camp and spending time with numerous cousins and uncles. Allan enjoyed many adventures throughout North America, including Canmore, Halifax, Florida. Everywhere he went, he quickly made friends and so many memories.
Allan was incredibly proud of his son, Patrick, who has gone into his own business. Allan was able to spend time on Vancouver Island recently and got to see Patrick’s wonderful life. Allan was devoted to his son Levi, and was so blessed to have two such fine sons.
Allan is survived by his two sons, Patrick (Jessica), Victoria BC; Levi (at home); his parents, Levi and Judy (Martin), Berwick; his sister Carolyn (Munther) Al Masri, Berwick; and Ed (Jadine), Windsor; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was predeceased by his sister, Laurie Lynn.
Allan loved spending time with all of his close friends, and never turned anyone away. Nothing was more important than his family and friends.
We will be celebrating Allan’s life at his parents’ home, 325 Parker Condon Road, Berwick, on Tuesday, July 30, from 1-6. Drop in and share your special memories. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Ronald MacDonald House. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Berwick Funeral Chapel, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick, NS, B0P 1E0 (902-538-9900).
