Booth, William Ronald – Age 66 of Yarmouth, N.S., passed away peacefully on June 21, 2019 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital.Born on February 19, 1953 at Charlotte County Hospital in St. Stephen, N.B., he was the beloved son of the late Ernest and Jacqueline (Connick) Booth of St. Stephen, N.B.Bill was a graduate of the St. Stephen High School Class of 1972 and later attended post-secondary for computers. He was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion – Milltown Branch #48. He was a gifted historian and storyteller known for his sense of humour and dry delivery. Bill was a talented guitar player and singer who loved talking politics over a good game of cribbage, traveling, working with his hands, planes, boats, classic cars, fishing, music, his dog Cassius and days by the water. Bill is survived by his son Kristoffer (Sharlene) Booth, St. Stephen, N.B.; daughters Shannon and Lindsay Booth, Connecticut; grandchildren Danielle and David Bobbie, Jayden and Carson Booth, Andrew, Gerry and Jenna Peckford; sister Hilary (Terry) Zech, Alberta; aunt Marilyn Benner, Tennessee; godmother Barbara Bacchi, Massachusetts; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friends at Harbourside Lodge, Yarmouth, N.S. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A private service will take place in Yarmouth, N.S. for residents and friends of Harbourside Lodge. A celebration of Bill’s life will take place for family and friends in his hometown of St. Stephen, N.B. in August 2019. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill’s memory may be made to Harbourside Lodge would be appreciated by the family.
