On Thursday, June 27, 2019, after a courageous battle, Wilbur Lloyd Cowan has gone home to be with his Lord and Saviour. He was 83 years of age. Lloyd was a long time resident of Eden, a member of the Eden Baptist Church, the Goshen Hunt Club, and a past member of the Tillsonburg Legion. He was co-owner and operator of the Sandy Ridge Pet Cemetery for 25 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Myrna (2016), his first wife Barbara (1982), and daughter Jackie Heatherington (2004). Loving father of Darby Garton and her husband Roger, Terri Kazmer and her husband Doug. Father-in-law to Lyle Heatherington. Step-father to Dan Gonder and his wife Jackie, Matt Gonder and his wife Lisa, and Heather Gonder. Lloyd was a proud and loving grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Gwendolyn Cowan. Friends and relatives will be received at OSTRANDER’S FUNERAL HOME LIMITED, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Tuesday, July 02, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service for Lloyd will be held in Ostrander’s Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 03, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Andy Brndjar officiating. Interment will follow at the Eden Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the Cowan family.
