Life Legacy
BROOKS, Thomas Vincent – It is with heavy hearts we mourn the peaceful passing of our brother, Tommy, on Wednesday June 26, 2019 at the age of 68 after a short battle with cancer. He was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Region. Raised in Chippawa by his parents Tom (1999) and Rose (2005), where ‘back in the day’ he enjoyed swimming and fishing in the ‘Crick’. Tom was an avid collector, photographer, gardener, accomplished woodcarver and classic car aficionado. He could spot a vintage car a mile away, then give a 10 min. tutorial to anyone who would listen, on that models’ specs. He enjoyed time with family and friends, especially Friday nights watching Jeopardy. A garage ritual, beer in hand, trying to one up each other with correct answers, followed by hours of reminiscing our childhood antics. He marched to the beat of his own drum and spoke his mind always. A hard worker, Tommy wore many hats, among them picking tobacco and bouncing at The Caverly in his youth, followed by 37 years at Niagara College until his retirement. Tommy will be deeply missed by his brothers; Jon (Edwina), Dave (Susan), Walt and Jim (Sharon), his sisters; Leah Shoveller (John), Sue Kalbfleisch (Art) and Randy Pace (Tony), his many nieces and nephews, and ever faithful, loving canine friend Chuck. Rest peacefully dear brother, ‘til we meet again. In Tommy’s own words ‘I had a good run’. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls visiting Thursday 12 to 2 pm. A Funeral Service in celebration of his life will be held at 2 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. In memory of Tommy, donations to Fort Erie SPCA would be appreciated by his family. Online condolences at www.pattersonfuneralhome.com
