Peacefully in hospital surrounded by family on Saturday, June 8th, 2019 in his 86th year. Russ is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, June (Wallace) and children Mary (Chris Young), David, Kathy (Ivan Matthews). Grampa will be missed by 7 loving grandchildren – Erin, Kate (Cody Morgan), Anna and Clare Young, and Scott (Emily Grey), Julie (Jeremie Brazeau) and Craig (Aubrie Mowat) Matthews, as well as 4 great grand-children -Taylor and Brynn Matthews, Philippe Brazeau and Isla Morgan. Predeceased by father, John, mother Mary (Lillico) and brother Ken. As a long-time resident of the Vernon area and proud dairy farmer, Russ was also an active member of the Metcalfe Agricultural society and loved to spend time with family and friends. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. (between Scrivens Dr. and Metcalfe Corner) from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Thursday. Funeral Friday in the Chapel at 11 am.
