It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a wonderful man on Friday, June 7 2019. Murdock was born Jan 17, 1931 to the late John and Sadie Theriault.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Catherine. He was Father to Valerie (Sheldon), Eric (Elaine), Ruby (Blaise), Richard (Danita), Leonard (Diana), Mark (Liz), and Evan (Melissa). He was Grampy to 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He is survived by his sisters, Geraldine, Hilda, Cordella and Rosetta. He was predeceased by sisters Elizabeth and Hannah and brother Cyril.
He worked with Martells Construction as a heavy equipment operator from 1955 to his retirement, 39 years later. He loved wood working, gardening, fishing and repairing cars, especially Volkswagens. He also loved helping neighbours, friends and family.
As per his wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation. A family graveside service will be held at a later date.
We would like to thank the Doctors and all staff at Buchanan Memorial Hospital for the great care given to Murdock. Words cannot express how much we appreciate the kindness and compassion shown by all.
