Obituary of Ken Breeson
Breeson, Kenneth Frederick Henry
Peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus, Ken Breeson of Vankleek Hill passed away at the age of 89. Predeceased by his parents Cecil Breeson and Evelyn Head. Ken was the beloved husband and life partner for over 68 years to Joan (née Farrier). A loving father of Peter (Karen), Janine (Donald MacDuff) and Thomas (Katherine). A proud and dearly loved Grandpa to Jenna (Michael Howes), Christopher (Véronik), Chelsea and lovingly and affectionately known as Grumps to Paul (Travis), John and Colin. Cherished Great-Grandpa to Mila, Avery, Avaleigh and Keagan. He was predeceased by his sister Jean. Together, Ken and Joan moved in 1957 from England to Canada where they began a new adventure and raised their family. Ken was a former member of the RAF Paratroopers and the RAF Big Band. He was an extremely gifted and talented Cabinet Maker and woodworker. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Ken’s Life on Sunday, June 16, 2019 from 3 to 5 pm at the Vankleek Hill Curling Club 136 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the CHEO Foundation, 415 Smyth Road, Ottawa, Ontario K1H 8M8 would be appreciated.
