John’s Obituary
deMolitor, John Clinton-91, East Jordan, passed away suddenly at home with his family by his side on June 21, 2019. Born in Jordan Falls he was a son of the late Frederick and Deborah (Purney) deMolitor. John was the last surviving member of a family of thirteen. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved telling his grandchildren stories. John started his working career with the Canadian National Railway and with his first pay check bought a fiddle and learned to play it himself. He really loved his music, especially the harmonica, fiddle and accordion. John was a church warden for many years as well as a volunteer fireman with the Jordan Falls Fire Department. He enjoyed going to the camp his family built for him, saying he was “going hunting”. He enjoyed playing 45’s and going to the shore swimming. John thoroughly enjoyed sitting in his gazebo looking out over the water. He is survived by his wife, Connie (Holden) deMolitor; sons, Glenn; Chris (Cathy); Kelly (Bertha); John and David; daughters, Yvonne (Steve); Melissa (Mike); grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Shelley, Christopher, Sarah, Suyani, Bradley, Nissel, Stacey, Lucas, Samantha, Veronica, Isaac and Rachel; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Leo and Norah. Besides his parents and his siblings he was predeceased by his beloved grandson Simon. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium Ltd. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 26 at 1 pm in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Jordan Falls, with Rev. Doug Chard officiating. Interment in Lake John cemetery. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Holy Trinity Anglican Church Steeple Fund or a charity of choice.
