Obituary of Fay Heatherington
Heatherington: Fay Aileen (Cudney) –
A resident of Blenheim, Fay Heatherington passed away peacefully at the Blenheim Community Village on June 8, 2019 at the age of 89.
Born in Harwich Township, Fay was the daughter of the late Grover and Amy (Humphrey) Cudney.
Beloved wife for many years to the late Russell Heatherington.
Survived by sister Irma (and the late Edward) Lobbestael of Blenheim, and predeceased by siblings Gerald (Jean) Cudney, Evelyn (Burse) McDougall, Monta Cudney, Ralph Cudney, Wilbur (Ruth) Cudney, Zelma Cudney, and her twin May (Robert) Luther.
Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Fay was known as a fantastic elementary school teacher and she was one who loved to be « Snowed Out! NOT Snowed IN! » She received the Queen’s Jubilee Medal which is given to persons who have made a significant contribution to Canada, to their community or to their fellow Canadians.
Visitation will take place at McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim, on Monday June 10, 2019 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm with a service at the Funeral Home on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at 11:00am with Rev. Bill Terris officiating.
Private Interment will take place at Erie Cemetery in Wheatley.
