Erma Marie Clarke, age 81, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Lakeridge Health Centre, Oshawa on June 24, 2019. Born in Ellice Township, daughter of the late Clarence and Hazel Daub.
Predeceased by her first husband Gerald William Palmer (1964) and by her second husband Adam Frederick Clarke (2006). Erma is survived by her children Lynette Nastich (Jeffrey), Susan Palmer, Gerald Palmer (Krista), Philip Clarke (Cheri), Wanda Cleaveley (Stewart). Grandmother of Tyler Nastich, Jeremy Nastich, Leonore Palmer-Wilson, Tiffany Trahan (Michael), Ryan Palmer, Brittany Palmer, Sarah Clarke, Allysha Cleaveley, Nicole Murray (Justin) and great grandmother to six great grandchildren. Dear sister of Mary Dunsmore, Verna Joyce (Elmer). Lovingly remembered by son-in-law Kent Wilson, daughter-in-law Rose Marie Fisher and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Roxie Brander (Sonny) and by brother-in-law John Dunsmore.
Erma was a member of Ontario Street Baptist, Knox Presbyterian and Elgin Missionary Church. She was a leader of several organizations including Christian Women’s and Queen of the Red Hat Society and a loving neighbour.
Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, June 27, from 6:30-9 p.m. and on Friday, June 28, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment at Avondale Cemetery.
