Emile Cormier
1926-2019
Emile Cormier, 93, of Bouctouche, has passed away peacefully,
surrounded by his family, at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital,
Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Monday June 24, 2019. He was married to Maria
(Richard) Cormier. Born in Saint-Grégoire, he was the son of the
late Alyre and the late Madeleine (Robichaud) Cormier.
Emile was a store room clerk with NB Power for several years before
his retirement. He took part in the St John Ambulance Brigade and was
a member of the Bouctouche Lions Club.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Maria, his five children; Ginette
Cormier (Bernard LeBlanc) of Dieppe, Monique Richard (Ronald),
Micheline Cormier (Eric Landry) of Moncton, Denise Léger
(Eugène) and Paul-Emile (Suzanne) of Cocagne, his three
grandchildren; Sylvie, Nicole and Rémi as well as four great
grandchildren; Joël, Véronique, Janie and Alexi. He also
leaves to mourn six sisters; Doris Fewer, Léona LeBlanc (Gerard),
Carmella Cormier of Moncton, Odette Cormier, Berthe Cormier of
Saint-Grégoire, Belita Morton of Florida and one brother; Normand
of Saint-Grégoire as well as several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by one sister Anita and two brothers; Adelard and
Laurie.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de
l’église, Bouctouche, on Monday July 1, 2019 from 7 to 9
and on Tuesday July 2, 2019 from 10 to 11:45 am. Funeral Mass will be
celebrated on Tuesday July 2, 2019 at 12 noon at the Saint-Jean
Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche with interment in the
parish cemetery.
In Emile’s memory, donations may be made to the Manoir
Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche, New Brunswick Lung Association or to
the NB Diabetes Association.
