Obituary of Diane Elaine Bootle
August 3, 1948 – April 17, 2019
Diane Elaine Bootle passed away peacefully on April 17, 2019 with her loving husband Fletcher and daughter Kelly by her side, following a brief battle with cancer.
Diane was born in Calgary on August 3, 1948. She attended SAIT where she met Fletcher. The couple married on May 17, 1969 and would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this year. Diane was a devoted wife and mother and followed Fletcher’s career as it took the family to Drumheller, Vegreville and Grande Prairie. The biggest joy in Diane’s life was her grandsons Noah and Ryan.
Diane loved golf and held positions with Alberta Golf. She was an active volunteer and strongly believed in being involved within your community and giving back. She was always at her husband’s side for Rotary projects.
Diane is survived by her husband Fletcher and daughter Kelly Sue (Mark) and her brothers Ron, Harvey (Tony) and Greg. She was predeceased by her parents and sister Joanne.
A Memorial service for Diane will be held on Thursday, July 4th, at 1:30pm at Forbes Prysbeterian Church, 9635 76 Avenue, Grande Prairie.
