In loving memory of David F. Hayes, 63 years, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, ON. Loving son of Frank Hayes (predeceased) and Thelma Hayes. Beloved husband to Karen (Mann) Hayes and loving father to Christopher Hayes. Cherished brother to Doug Hayes (Wendy), Rob Hayes (Helena), Ann Contini (Gino) and Jim Hayes (Barb) and brother in-law to Brenda Mann of Edmonton, Alberta. David will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews; David, Brian, Andrew, Nicholas, Allison, Amy, Erin, Ryan, and Tim and great-nephews Jacob and Josh. Godfather to Kylah Riengeutte. He spent countless hours with his son and friends fishing on Lake Wanapitei and hunting on Manitoulin Island and in his earlier days in Shining Tree. David enjoyed nothing more than spending time with Karen and Christopher along with friends and family at their camp on Lake Wanapitei. He was an avid sports fan and took great pleasure in watching his son play hockey and lacrosse. He seldom missed a Toronto Maple Leafs game on television. David liked to keep busy and always had a project on the go, he always made himself available to help others. He was happiest when he was together with family and friends sharing laughs and good times. Donations can be made to the Catholic Women’s League of St. Andrew’s the Apostle Church or the Northeast Cancer Foundation. The family would like to thank Dr. Singh and the nursing staff of the 6th Floor, South Tower at HSN for their exceptional care provided. Thank you to Dr. Luison and secretary Norma for everything they have done as well as the staff at the Northeast Cancer Centre. A special thank you to nurse Joanne O’Leary.
