Cushing, Bobby (Robert) Gerald – Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday June 25, 2019 in his 80th year. Bobby was born in North Bay, Ontario on October 8, 1938. Predeceased by his mother Ethel, father Gerald and brothers George and Gerald. Bobby will be deeply missed by his daughters Deborah Brisson (Derek) and Darlene Gregoire (Frank). Survived by his former spouse, Jeannette Cushing. Bobby is predeceased by his daughter Christine. Grampy, as he was affectionately known was a proud grandfather to Cailey (Brian), Sarah (Luke), Becky, Emily (Hayden), Molly (Justin), Amy (Artur) and Maiti.
Grampy was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending quality time with his loved ones, including his many dog buddies. Bobby successfully ran his own business, Debelene Plastics for many years and was highly regarded in his industry. Bobby’s interests included handy-work around the house and cottage, frequent trips to Home Depot and Lowes, and watching the Toronto Maple Leafs, the news and country music television.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street S., Newmarket on Thursday June, 27, 2019 from 7 – 9 pm.
