Antoinette ‘Tosha’ MacMillan
1943-2019
Antoinette C.
« Tosha » MacMillan. It is with sadness that we, the
family of Tosha, announce her passing on June 16th, 2019 at the
Aberdeen Hospital with her brother Bobby by her side.
Mom
grew up in Stellarton as one of three children. Working all of her
life, starting at 15, she left to raise her daughter for nine years.
When she decided it was time to return to work, she went to Walmart
and was there for 17 years.
She
was an avid seamstress and crafter, who was also known for her cooking
and baking; always prepared to feed anyone who came to visit and enjoy
a good laugh, or help out those in need.
She
is survived by her only living brother, Robert
« Bobby » Kowalski (Sandy), New Glasgow; daughter,
Lori (Paul), Dartmouth; grandsons: Matthew (Courtney), Dartmouth, and
Drew, Dartmouth. She is also missed by her side kick of 13 years, her
dog Oscar.
She
was predeceased by her mother, Josephine, brother, Joseph, and love of
her life, Donnie « Duke » MacMillan.
The
family would like to thank the nurses of the 4th floor, and 2nd floor
ICU at the Aberdeen Hospital for making her as comfortable as possible
in her final days.
Cremation
has taken place. There will be no church service as per
Mom’s request. Visitation will take place Sunday, June 23rd
from 2-4 pm, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 55 Almont Ave., New
Glasgow, with interment at the gravesite immediately following (Holy
Cross Cemetery on High Street). Flowers will be accepted (Mom loved
them), or donations in Mom’s memory can be made to the
Canadian Cancer Society.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Antoinette ‘Tosha’ MacMillan 19432019..
