Harold Angus Emerson Rikley
January 31, 1940 – June 6, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Angus Rikley on Thursday June 6, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. He fought a courageous battle with kidney failure, diabetes, heart disease and dementia. Through it all he maintained a positive attitude having a quick smile and devilish grin for his family and others.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Thelma, who was the love of his life, his daughters Wendy (Carl) Alguire and Karen (Karl) King, his grandsons Ryan King (Jess) and Brennan King and his great-granddaughter Briar, as well as step-grandchildren and their families. He will also be fondly remembered by his sisters Edith (Stan) Cassibo, Marilyn (Charles) Carr, sisters-in-law Zelda Halsall and Shirley Rikley, nieces and nephews.
Angus was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Over the years he could be found in his garage creating works of art. Angus loved to share his stories of his adventures with anyone who was willing to lend an ear. While he will be sadly missed, he had a wonderful, amazing life surrounded by his loving family.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a future date.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Angus Rikley 2019..
