Died peacefully, with his family by his side.
He was born in Castello di Godego, Treviso, Italy, and came to Canada in March 1959. Beloved husband of Beatrice (nee Laino) and loving father of Diane (Robert Bussolaro), Michael (Meghan), and Steven. Proud nonno of Alec, Michela, Katherine, and Benjamin.
Dear son of Giuseppe and Maria Pigozzo (both predeceased). Predeceased by his siblings Danilo and Marcello (Bertilla). Survived by Egidio (Jeanette), Cecilia, Giuseppina, Elsa Cinel, and Guerrino. Dear son-in-law of Michele and Luisa Laino (both predeceased). Dear brother-in-law to Antonio Laino (Mary-Grace), Ada Petretti (Mauro predeceased), and Janey Laino. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada, California, and Italy.
In his younger years, Benvenuto was a skilled welder by trade. He had a green thumb when it came to maintaining his lawn and the backyard where he grew grapes, pear, cherry, and apple trees, along with bountiful vegetables. He loved music and took great pleasure in being a member of the Caruso Club choir. He was a life member of the Caruso Club and Veneto Association.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude to all of his caregivers over the years for their excellent care.

Saturday, June 15th, 2019 at 10:30am.
Entombment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum.
