BUCHAN, William James (Jim)
October 8, 1943 – May 6, 2019
Not at all suddenly or unexpectedly, we lost Jim at the Hamilton General Hospital. Well known to have indulged in all of life’s pleasures (hence the liver and lung cancer), and to be liberal with his love and his money (yet strangely conservative in his views). Born in Hamilton to Barbara and William, sibling to Sally, Timmy, Jackie (all passed) and Perry. Married to Marilyn Guyatt, then Charlene Lorimer, with whom he fathered Chris and Kate (Gareth). Proudest Papa to Locke. Worked at Alexander Hardware, R.W. Hamilton and then EN Tool and Supply. Passionate about James A. Mitchener, the Dallas Cowboys, meat and sitting on the front porch making up stories about the neighbours. In honour of Jim, have a scotch, listen to a Jethro Tull song and avoid using the word ‘hydration’. Please join us for a funeral at the DONALD V.
