Tremaine’s Obituary
MARTYN, Tremaine Rogers ~ My rock, the love of my life, my whole life left me on May 22nd. He was my companion, my friend, my strength, my reason for living. He will be forever loved and missed by me and everyone who knew him. He was a loving, gentle, kind and humorous soul. No matter how ill he felt, he was still the one who made me laugh. His motto always was “It is what it is; you gotta do what you gotta do”. He certainly lived by that through all his health issues over the last 20 plus years. He would never give up and fought a hard battle right to the bitter end. I will surely miss his hugs and his kisses. Tremaine lived a life he loved – from trucking, to building houses, mini-barns and crafts, to working on his antique cars and jammin’. He made so many friends through the antique car club and all the jams we attended and everyone had respect for him. He seemed shy until he got to know you better and then he was always the life of the party. People were automatically drawn to him and his wit. He was a very smart man and could fix anything or make what was needed to fix it. He liked to travel and especially enjoyed his trips with good friend, David Thompson. Thanks to everyone for all the cards, phone calls and visits while he was in the hospital and for the expressions of sympathy to me since his passing. Tremaine is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joan (Morse). He was the last surviving member of his family. Predeceased by his parents James and Kathleen, infant sister, older brother, John and twin brother Wayne. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday May 28, 2019 at the Nictaux cemetery with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. A jam to celebrate his life and love of music and people will be held at the Port George Recreation Centre at 2:00 pm, Sunday June 2, 2019. Everyone is welcome to attend both the graveside service and the jam. Donations in memory may be made to Nictaux & District Volunteer Fire Department or CAPS Companion Animal Protection Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 902-825-3448. Online guestbook maybe signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
