Suzanne Dionne
1953-2019
It is with a heavy heart that the family of Suzanne Dionne announce
her
passing on April 12, 2019 at Florida Medical Center at the age of 65
after a
courageous battle with cancer.
She was the daughter of the late Fortunat and Henriette
« Hattie » (Cormier) Dionne.
She is survived by her sisters: GaëtAnne from Granby, PQ,
Micheline
(Babe Gagnon) from Grand-Falls; her nieces and nephews: Michel,
Hélène, Jean-Marie & Brigitte (Bellefleur); Carole &
Sophie (Thériault);
Josée, Denis & Sylvie (Gagnon); and several grandnieces
and
grandnephews. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by
her
sisters Fernande (Bobby Bellefleur); Priscilla (late Bob
Duvalier);
Monique; and her brother Jean-Marie.
Born in Edmundston, NB, at the age of 12, she and her family moved
to
Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she went on to spend the rest of her
life.
Suzanne will be remembered by all who knew her to be a sweet
loving
soul with a kind heart, a great sense of humour and a playful mind
who
loved her family and who loved her Florida friends deeply. Her laugh
was
infectious and she brought so much joy to everybody around her.
She
inspired us all with her extraordinary strength and courage.
Until her passing, she had a life long career at the Connect Credit
Union
Bank in Fort Lauderdale.
Traveling was a great passion of hers. She enjoyed exploring the
beauty of
what life has to offer, going on Caribbean cruises, sampling foods
from
many cultures, exhilarating adventures, concerts and relaxing
getaways,
she would come away with memories of a unique experience that lasted
a
lifetime and always looked forward to her next weekly fun gathering
with
her friends.
A private family burial service will take place in St-Léonard
Parent
Cemetery, at a later date. A Celebration of Life will be held in
Boynton
Beach, Florida on Sunday, May 26th from 1 until 4 .
A simple act of kindness and humour would best honour her memory
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Suzanne Dionne 19532019..
