Sharon Julia Nadiger
Aged 76, of Halifax, passed away May 3rd at Arborstone Enhanced Care Nursing Home. Born in North Vancouver on May 4, 1942, Sharon was the daughter of the late Bruce E. Ackerman and Maud Elizabeth (Betty) Lewis. She is survived by her three children Geoffrey (Cindy) McLaren, Kingston, Ontario, Melissa Pollock (Aaron Lund), New Minas, and Jason Pollock (Jill Hurlbert), Halifax. Thriving are her 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Sharon worked many jobs in her life, but the most important was her role as a nurse, working all units from maternity to palliative care. After moving to Nova Scotia in 1998, she settled in happiness in Marie Joseph where she lived on the water, rescued cats, gardened, fed the birds, listened to music that made her smile and painted sunrises on different mediums. Sharon lived a big life full of love, laughs and most importantly, family dinners and whooping cranes. Sharon could always be counted on for a hot cup of tea and her honest opinion. The family would like to extend a big thank you to the third floor staff of Arborstone Enhanced Care. Private family service only. Donations can be made in Sharon’s name to the SPCA.
