Margaret’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Ann Power announce her passing, surrounded by her loving family, at her home in Stephenville on Thursday May 2, 2019, at the age of 80 years.
Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity and sense of humor. Leaving to mourn are: her sons Tim (Renee) of Kamloops, BC, Mick (Renee) of Stephenville, Ted (Stacey) of Cole Harbour, NS; her daughters: Elizabeth (Rick) of Vancouver, BC, and Cathie (Barry) of Carbonear, NL; her grandchildren: Elizabeth, Maggie-May, Teddy, Mikey, Robert, Sam, Ruby, Abby, Cathy and Jack; her loving sister, Betty, her brothers Brian, Phonse, Kevin, Cyril and Ronald; many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of family and friends.
Margaret is predeceased by: her sons Don and Joe; her daughter Laura Anastasia; her parents, John and Anastasia Delaney; and her brothers, Eddie, Leo, Jack, Gerald, and Bernard.
The family would like to thank mom’s caregivers over the past few years and weeks including Mandy and the staff of TLC Homecare, her doctors, nurses, and paramedics.
Family will receive friends at Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville on Sunday May 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service for Margaret will be held at the chapel on Monday May 6 at 2 pm. Cremation will follow and inurnment at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway will take place on Tuesday, May 7, 2019.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
