Obituary of Kim Joseph Drouin
DROUIN, Kim Joseph (Kimbo)
Peacefully in the caring embrace of his mother following a brief illness at Kingston General Hospital on Thursday, May 23, 2019. Kim Drouin, in his 58th year, dearly loved son of Lesley Drouin Reed and her husband Don Reed. Dear brother of Nona Doucette (Tim), Nina Drouin and David Drouin. Loving uncle to Angela (Cory) O’Connor. Also remembered by extended family, Tony Davidson (Winny) and their family, as well as his supervisor, Kim and his fellow workers at P.E.O., and friends at Community Living. The family extends sincere gratitude to his caregivers at Community Living for their years of exemplary compassion and kindness provided to him. In keeping with Kim’s casual personality, his family requests that guests attending his funeral wear informal attire. Cremation at James Reid Crematorium. Friends will be received at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Thursday, May 30 from 1:00 pm until 1:50 pm. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 pm, with Chaplain Monika Cook officiating. Interment at Cataraqui Cemetery. A reception will be held in the James Reid Reception Centre following the service. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Community Living of Kingston in Kim’s memory.
