Joel R. Power
1985-2019
Joel R. Power of Fredericton and formerly of Riverview,
passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital
in Fredericton following a brief illness.
A graduate of Riverview High School and St. Thomas
University. He worked at George Street Middle School in Fredericton as
a (TA) Teachers Assistant, Tutor and a mentor to the
students.
He enjoyed sports, hockey, biking, nature, music and hanging
out with his family and friends, photo and Stevie the
cat.
Joel will be sadly missed by his parents Sandra & Dan
Maillet of Riverview, his father Michael Power of Moncton. Joel also
leaves behind his maternal grandmother Rita Warman (Donnie) of Moncton
and his maternal grandfather Ronnie Beers of Harcourt; aunts Gloria
Beers, Arlene Little (Kevin), Theresa Cormier (Omer) and Annette
Dumaine (Gilles); uncles Leonard Beers (Nancy), Gerald Beers (Diana),
Darren Beers (Lisa), Larry Arsenault (Barb), Bernie Maillet (Nicole),
Mike Maillet (Susan), Roger Maillet and Robert Maillet (Roberta); as
well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his much loved brother Neil M. Power in
2011, his grandparents Emerson and Gladys Power, step grandfather
Edmond Arsenault and by his step grandparents Patricia and Sanford
Maillet.
The Family will be receiving Joel’s close friends at Tuttle
Brothers Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on
Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 8:00pm
A Celebration of Joel’s Life will be held at Tuttle Brothers
& Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Monday, May 13,
2019 at 3:00 pm..
Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial
Gardens.
Donations in Joel’s memory made to a charity of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated.
