NOKES, Joan Matilda It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Joan at Crown Ridge Place on Sunday, May 19th, 2019. Joan was in her 97th year. Loving daughter of the late John and Margaret Carpenter. Beloved wife of the late Constable Fred Nokes (2005). Cherished mother to Patricia (Patsy) Mills and her husband Fred, Margaret (Peggy) Bent and her husband Weldon, Karen Vandebeek and her husband Bert and the late Steven Nokes. Devoted grandmother to Sheena, Erin, Megan, Ryan, Sheera, Shelley, James, Logan, and Jordan, 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers John and Robert Carpenter and sister Margaret Carpenter. The family will receive friends at the RUSHNELL FUNERAL CENTRE 60 Division St., Trenton (613-392-2111) on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8p.m. Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019 at 1p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service time.
