Flloyd Mansfield Cail
May 30, 1938 – May 16, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of Floyd Mansfield Cail, husband of the late Sylvia (Amos), announces his passing on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Mabel Soucoup (Beers, Cail).
Born on May 30, 1938 in Harcourt and grew up in Targetville, NB.
He worked hard all of his life.
He spent many years at Eastern Bakeries, in Moncton and Fredericton, working his way from salesman to manager.
He was very proud to have worked for 18 years as a transit operator for the City of Fredericton, retiring in 2002.
Born: May 30, 1938 Death: May 16, 2019
Dad and Sylvia loved their home in Amostown and welcomed many family and friends to events over the years.
He spent many hours tending to his large garden, from which they usually had enough for themselves for the winter and to share with others.
They loved to travel, mostly to visit family. They travelled often to Main River and Moncton, and made many trips to the US and several trips across Canada, always stopping in Kingston area to visit family.
During one of these trips, they made stops in SK and AB to visit his Fillmore brothers.
After retiring, he enjoyed many four wheeling trips and several hunting trips with Leonard and friends and bagged his first moose with his son. He enjoyed helping cut logs off the woodlot and milling them into boards. He was known to his great grandchildren as Bubba. His eyes always lit up when any of them came to visit him.
He had a caring heart for animals, particularly his dog Moe.
Floyd is survived by his children, Stephen Cail (Krista), Wendy Cail (Louise) and Barb Cail; Sylvia’s children, Dale McNeelands (Lori), Robert McNeelands and Kathy Cornford (Jean Guy); grandchildren, Nick Cail (Lindsay), Ashlee Cail, Matthew McNeelands (Cassaundra), Marissa McNeelands (Kevin), Mitchell McNeelands (Kieri), Kasey Cornford (Tim) and Hailee Cornford (Alysha); great grandchildren, Theodore, Owen and Charlotte; step dad, Leonard Soucoup; sisters and brother, Elmer Beers (Emily), Margaret Wood (Gordon) and Iris Dressler (Dennis); in laws, Marge Richard, Beatrice Schultz (Ron), Wayne Carroll (Shirley), Lynn Connors and Joy Magnus (Charles); Sylvia’s uncle, Leslie Amos (Eileen); several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Thank You to the staff in the Palliative Care Unit and his many doctors for the wonderful care and compassion you showed our Dad. To Trevor, his home care worker, you went above and beyond for Dad, and we Thank You. He always enjoyed teasing and being teased by all who cared for him.
