We are sad to announce the passing of Eileen Beatrice Ricker on April 29, 2019 at the Central Okanagan Hospice House at the age of 74.
Eileen was born and raised in the Kelowna area. She lived much of her life in the Okanagan Centre, where her parents, Guy and Lucy Ricker owned a small orchard. Eileen’s Dad predeceased her in 1975, after which time she lived with her Mom until 1999. Eileen and her Mom sold and moved to West Kelowna, where Eileen looked after her Mom until her passing in 2005. Eileen moved to the Dorchester Retirement Home until her passing.
Eileen liked taking pictures with her Kodak film camera. She loved doing jig-saw puzzles and spent many hours searching for pieces. She also liked to volunteer at the thrift shop. Eileen was a feisty red head in her early years, one had to be very diplomatic if you wanted to tell her what to do!
Eileen was predeceased by her Parents; Guy and Lucy Ricker and her Nephew Stewart Ricker. She will be missed by her Brothers; Bill (Judy) Ricker of Red Deer and Jim (Sheila) Ricker of Red Deer as well as their children; Sheri, Charlene, Guy and Robert.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Dorchester Retirement Home – details to follow.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Eileen Beatrice Ricker March 21 1945 April 29 2019 (age 74)..
