It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a dear loved one, Darren (Boo) Ginter. A beloved husband, father, uncle, brother, step-grandfather, son and great friend, he passed away Wednesday, May 1st, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Sydney Mines on March 29, 1961, he was the son of the late Clifford and Rose (Hawkins) Ginter.
Darren will be dearly missed by his wife Susan (Rose) Ginter, his daughter Samantha (Kuwait), step-children Patrick, Holly and Justin Leblanc, step-grandchildren, who he loved so much; Zoey, Bryson and Carter Leblanc, also brothers Danny and Marcella (Sydney Mines), Clifford and Eileen (New Brunswick), Jackie and Peggy (Sydney Mines), Jason and Patricia (New Brunswick). sisters Starlette and Gordon Dawe (Sydney Mines), Shauna and Sam Serroul (Bras d’Or) and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Darren will also be missed by his best friends Tom White and Sandy Gordon, father-in-law John (Jackie) Rose, who was very close to his heart and was Darrin’s sidekick when driving around collecting junk and bottles, and his furry friend Chico. Beside his parents Darren was predeceased by a brother Tommy, sister Rose Marie and also mother in law Sarah Rose.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the 4th floor CCU Unit of CBRH for taking such great care of Darren.
Visitation for Darren Ginter will be held Sunday May 5th, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. in J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main Street, Sydney Mines.
