The passing of Alma E. Bagley of Geary, NB occurred on Friday May 24,
2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in
Geary, NB on March 21, 1925, she was a daughter of the late George
Amos Miller and the late Annie Elizabeth (Carr) Miller.
Alma worked in the Food Service and Housekeeping Department at CFB
Gagetown for many years. She was an active member of the Sunbury
Seniors Friendship Club and served on the Geary, Waterville, French
Lake Cemetery Committee.
The last surviving member of her immediate family, Alma is survived by
a niece, Margaret Bobay of Ontario and a nephew, Robert Barker of New
Maryland.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her common-law husband,
Robie Hiltz, a son David Andrew Bourque, husband Ken Bagley and
sisters Isabelle Barker and Cora Carr.
Alma is resting at the Geary Baptist Church, 668 Broad Road, Geary
on
Tuesday May 28th from 4 PM to 8 PM. A
service celebrating the life of Alma will be held from the church on
Wednesday May 29, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Robert Weaver
officiating. Interment to follow in the Upper Geary Cemetery, French
Lake Road, NB.
It was Alma’s wish that memorial contributions be made to
the Geary, French Lake, Waterville Cemetery Fund.
