Passed peacefully away at St Clare’s Mercy Hospital on May 13, 2019, at the age of 90. He was born and raised in Burnside, Bonavista Bay.
Val was an avid fly fisherman as well as a gifted cod jigger. He was a proud member of the Independent Order of Oddfellows Grand Lodge in Grand Falls-Windsor for 50 years and the Singing Sidesmen of Holy Trinity Anglican Churchill.
