Marion Valerie Cameron Tucker 19362019

Marion Valerie (Cameron) Tucker
1936-2019
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She
watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread
of the idleness. – Proverbs 31: 26-27
At her home, surrounded by love, she peacefully passed to her heavenly
home on May 12th, 2019. Marion was born in Nashwaak Bridge on December
18, 1936 to the late Raymond and Margaret (Shaw) Cameron. At the age
of six they moved to Pocologan where she lived until her marriage in
April 1956 to the late Arnold Tucker, when they moved to St. George.
They were blessed with 54 years of marriage. Marion is survived by two
children: Sharon of St. George and Scott of Maces Bay as well as one
sister Marguerite Arbeau of Saint John. She is also survived by three
brothers-in-law Malcolm (Brenda)Tucker, Garry (Barb) Dougherty, Burton
(Marilyn) Arbeau, two sisters-in-law Lynda (Jim) McIntyre and Betty
Tucker, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mom’s life centered around her family. She worked side by side with
Dad; whether it was at the Fina Station, building a camp, four
wheeling or excursions with the trailer. She put Sharon and Scott,
« the kids » first in all aspects of her life; whether it was
chauffeuring them and other Redtown kids around, planning camping
vacations or later supporting them in whatever endeavours they took
on. In true Mom fashion, she left her disease untreated for close to a
year so as to not upset the kids. Mom was quite capable of sharing her
thoughts and you always knew exactly what she meant! She was a member
of the Ladies Orange Lodge and the PC Party for many years. Marion was
an active member of St. Mark’s Anglican Church, serving on the altar
guild for several years.
Resting at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, St. George, NB, from where the
service will be held on Wednesday, May 15th, at 11:00 am with Rev.
Mary Anne Langmaid officiating. Visitation will take place at the
Church on Tuesday, May 14th, from 6-9 pm. In Mom’s memory, donations
to St. Mark’s Anglican Church or Charlotte County Cancer would be
appreciated by the family. Arrangements in the care of the St. George
Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB.
