Joan Marie Doncaster
1942-2019
Joan Marie Doncaster, 76, of
Springhill, NS, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 8,
2019.
Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late George and
Muriel (Pettigrew) Doncaster.
Joan loved to read, especially poetry which she enjoyed
reciting. A religious lady, she would listen to hymns and often sing
along. She appreciated the beauty of God’s nature, watching the
flowers grow. Joan loved a McDonald’s cheeseburger and looked forward
to a chocolate sundae when her family came to visit.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Brian Terris, Perry
(Carolyn) Terris, both of Springhill; Susan Rayworth, Springhill and
Lisa Bryan, Chignecto; grandchildren, Melissa, Ashley, Janey, Sarah,
Jordan, Rachel, Dallas and Isaac; great grandchildren, Matts, Nathan,
Jayce, Chase, Emmerson and Eli; siblings, Nancy (Larry) Trenholm,
Windsor, NS, Keith Doncaster, Edmonton, AB and Paul (Cathy) Canning,
Springhill, NS; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by granddaughter Kyrsten Livingston, son
in law Robert Rayworth and sister in law Gaylene
Doncaster.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of
A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane
Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) where visiting hours will be held
on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 1 pm until 2 pm, followed immediately at
2 pm by her Funeral Service, Life Celebrant Scott Balser officiating.
Joan will be laid to rest with her parents in the Leamington Cemetery
at a later date.
