Pearl’s lifetime experiences were varied and interesting. Pearl was born and raised in Goodeve, SK. After marrying, she and William farmed for a number of years while raising their young family. She also worked in toy and sewing factories in Toronto, and later in bakeries in Ituna and Yorkton SK, before retiring in Ituna. She lived her later years in Saskatoon at the Ilarion Residence. More recently she lived in Winnipeg, first with her family and then the last two and half years at Holy Family Home. Pearl was a kind, generous, loving and caring person who lived her life in faith and in the service of her family and community. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, sewing, crocheting, needlework, cross-stitching, music, dancing and entertaining. She was very active in her church community. She was an active long time member of the Ukrainian Women’s Association. She enjoyed singing in the choir, making many traditional Ukrainian breads and wedding cakes and catering at various functions. She enjoyed many creative hobbies and crafts enriching the lives of those in her community she loved so dearly. Pearl was especially proud of her Ukrainian heritage and culture, which she shared with family and friends throughout her lifetime. She loved to share her home, her food and her time with everyone who came to visit. She always said family was the most important thing to her. Dearest Pearl, for all you have taught us, all you have given us, and your lifetime of love, we are eternally grateful. May you rest in peace.
