On Saturday, May 4,2019, Glenna Marie (Perrin) Nason, loving Mom and Grandmother, Great Nan, passed away at age 84 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1934 in Tracy, NB, raised in Harvey Station and lived in Saint John. She was the daughter of the late Clayton and Laura (Duplisea) Perrin and the loving wife to her late husband, Lavergne Nason.
She is survived by her sons Steven (Sharon), Robert (Diane), and Mark (Donna). Her love and shining lights were her eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Douglas Perrin, David (Joyce) Perrin, Ernie Perrin, Junior (Ann) Perrin, and sister Ann (Lloyd) Levesque. Predeceased by brothers, Glendon, Lee, and Clinton, and sister Isabelle Perrin.
She began her working career at Telephone Answering Service (TAS), moving on to central supplies at St. Joseph’s Hospital, then to Carlton Kirk Nursing Home where she retired from. With a busy social calendar she was always on the go, attending many social events with her Rummoli friends and Bingo buddies, guiding the way with her lighted cane.
A special thanks to Dr. England and the staff 3D South of Saint John Regional Hospital who made her stay as comfortable as possible. Also, we want to extend our gratitude to her granddaughter Tina, who took such good care and gave such love to her over the last many years.
A family and close friends service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 11,2019 from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with a time of fellowship and light refreshments immediately following the service. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Glenna’s memory made to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
