Yvon ‘TiRouge’ Castonguay
April 3, 1959 – April 8, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing on Monday April 8, 2019 at the age of 60 at the Timmins District Hospital.
Beloved father of Alex Castonguay of Manitoulin Island and Jesse Castonguay of Kitchener, ON.
He is also survived by his siblings: Annette (Roland Arsenault), Rita (Edward Tomlinson), Albert, Gisèle Lefebvre, Normand (Maude Estrella) and Suzanne as well as numerous nieces & nephews, extended family and friends.
Yvon was predeceased by his parents Alphonse and Réjeanne (née Bourgeois), his brothers Maurice (Blanche Cyr) & Rhéal (Adèle Delguidice) & his brothers-in-law Claude Lefebvre & Ovila Cadieux.
Yvon was a loving father, brother and friend to everyone. He loved fishing, the outdoors and taking his beloved Sandy for walks. He especially loved spending time with his boys.
In his working life, Yvon enjoyed a successful career as a Pipefitter/Plumber and worked on many projects including TDT Crews Inc. & NuNorth Mechanical.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff in Kitchener & Timmins who comforted Yvon during his last few days. You all hold a special place in our hearts.
In respecting Yvon’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. There will be a private Celebration of Life in June. His cremated remains will be placed in the Val Gagné Cemetery with his parents.
