Obituary of William Warren
With sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend on April 18th. Born on February 5th, 1934 in New Perlican, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland, he was a son of the late William J. and Mary E. (Northover) Warren.
At age 17, Bill received a scholarship to Memorial College which started his teaching career. It began at Bay of Islands, NL. He also taught for several years at the East St. Margaret’s School, Indian Harbour, NS. Bill was principal of Tantallon Elementary School upon its opening in 1975 to 1983 and later retired from teaching at East St. Margaret’s.
He is survived by his loving « first wife« of 57 years, Beatrice (Dykens); sons, Larry (Coreen), Jeff, Michael (Charlene); grandchildren, Alison (Mike), Ben, Cole, Ryan, Devin, John Michael; great-grandson, Casey.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Leah (Bill), Alma (Jim); brother, Peter (Olive, Irene).

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where the family will receive visitors from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 23. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Three Mile Plains, Rev. Father Tom Henderson officiating. Reception will follow in the church hall. Interment will take place in St. Croix Cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only by request, however, donations in memory of Bill may be made to St. Thomas Anglican Church, c/o 76 Old Halifax Rd. West, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0; Hants Community Hospital Palliative Care, 89 Payzant Dr., Windsor, NS B0N 2T0, or a charity of one’s choice.
