W Boyd Leeworthy 2019

Wm. Boyd Leeworthy
The death of Wm. Boyd
Leeworthy, age 84, occurred on April 28, 2019. He was born
in Bayfield, N.B. to parents Garnet and Anna Leeworthy
(MacDonald).
Boyd joined the Royal Canadian
Air Force at a young age, in 1952. He served for 27 years,
during which he and his family were posted to numerous bases in Canada
and Europe. Boyd sold real estate in Moncton for a number of
years after his retirement from the armed forces. He also
took pride in building two cottages near his childhood home, where he
enjoyed spending time with his family. During those years he
fulfilled a life-long desire to learn and play guitar, often
accompanying himself while singing many of his favourite country
tunes.
He is survived by his wife,
Elizabeth, their children, Greg Leeworthy, Kevin Leeworthy, and Pam
Leeworthy-Baldin (Ken Baldin), grandchildren Jessica Rose (Scott
Mader) and Myles Baldin, and great grand-daughter Joey Rose
Mader. Boyd is also survived by his sister Jean Lewis
(Donald Allen) and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Boyd was predeceased by his two brothers Wayne
Leeworthy and Carl Leeworthy.
Boyd’s family extend
their gratitude and appreciation to Dr. James Stewart, and the staff
of the Moncton Hospital for the excellent care they provided over the
past few months.
Arrangements have been
entrusted to Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton
(858-1995). There will not be a funeral service or
visitation. Burial of Boyd’s ashes will take place
in Bayfield Cemetery at a later
date.
Donations can be made to
Bayfield Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice. Online
