Mr. Roger Gérald Fournier
November 11th, 1950 – April 4th, 2019
Passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 4th, 2019 at the age of 68 at the Anson General Hospital in Iroquois Falls. Roger will be deeply missed by his spouse Jocelyne Stanlake, his children Jamie (Nghia) Nguyen, Jody (Karim) Elzeki, and Mike (Valérie) Stanlake, his grandchildren Tristan and Léandre Elzeki, and Maxim and Vanessa Galarneau. He was the son of the late Alphonse Fournier and Eva Joseph, brother of Gilbert (Suzanne) Fournier, Paulette (late Marc) Guèvremont, late Lorraine Fournier, late Marielle (Marc) Foisy, and late Raymond Fournier (son Roger). He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, relatives and many cherished friends.
Roger is remembered as a generous, loyal and honest man, who loved building connections and making people laugh. He was so very proud of the many hats he wore in life as a husband, dad, grand papa Camion, brother and lifelong friend. His countless teachings, natural charisma and genuine care for others will be missed beyond measure.
A private celebration of his life will be held at the Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home in Iroquois Falls. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and would be greatly appreciated.
