Richard passed away suddenly on Monday, April 22, 2019 in Regina, Saskatchewan at the age of 70 years. Richard was born in Regina, Saskatchewan to Harry and Fern Hettema in 1949. Richard is survived by his wife Norma Hettema (nee Gordon); children and their spouses Christina (Greg) Blenkin and Andrew Hettema (Rosa Smith); grandchildren Grace and Hunter Blenkin and Chelsea and Camry Slessor-Smith; brother-in-law Robert Gordon and his children; as well as numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. Richard was predeceased by his parents Harry and Fern Hettema; brother Clifford Hettema; father and mother-in-law Norman and Muriel Gordon; sister-in-law Jeanne Gordon; and other aunts and uncles. As per Richard’s request no service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to HELP Homes of Regina, 1856 Angus Street, Regina, Saskatchewan S4T 1Z4.
