Obituary of Mary Steingart
Steingart, Mary – Peacefully on Friday April 26, 2019 in her 92nd year, beloved wife of the late Helmut (Chip) Steingart and cherished mother of Elizabeth, David, Catherine and late Peter Steingart. Predeceased by two brothers Henry and John and two sisters Betty and Nettie, survived by her brother Jake (Lena) Epp. Grandmother of Jesse, Laura, Eric, Victoria, Alec, Emily and Nicholas and great grandmother of Louis. Mary’s love of life was generally on the golf course keeping her active and healthy; reluctantly she retired her clubs in her 90th year.
Family and friends will be received at the Niagara United Mennonite Church, 1775 Niagara Stone Road, Virgil, on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery beside her husband. Donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre, in St. Catharines recognizing their outstanding care of Mary’s son David, would be appreciated.
