Obituary of Mary Rita Larose
LAROSE, Mary Rita – Surrounded by her family at Bluewater Health, CEE, Petrolia, Mary Rita Larose died on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Orville Larose, D.P.M. (1985). Loving mother of Madelon (Rob) Cates, Maureen (late Doug) Wicks, Patrick (Shelley) Larose, Catherine Larose and Robert (Michele) Larose. Cherished grandmother of Alexandra McKeigan, Brendan (Jade) McKeigan, Kelly (Mike) McGregor, Patrick Wicks, Lauren Larose, Kate Larose, David Larose, Theresa (Ted) Mitchell, Braden Larose-Clarke, Brian (Katelyn) Larose-Clarke, Bradley (Katelyn) Larose-Clarke, Kaylee Larose, Claire Larose and Andrew Larose. Proud great-grandmother of Dalaina, Ryder, Cole, Dylan, Levi, Arlynn and Everley. Dear sister of Phyllis Doyon and Madelon Foster. Predeceased by her parents Blanche & Professor Herbert Bott, 1st baby born, Sharon Ann, sister Janet (Edward) Keeley and brother Robert (Helen Bott). Mary Rita was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Benedict’s Church for over 30 years. She loved to sing in the choir. Mary Rita was also a long standing member of S.H.A.R.E. She found great pleasure in nature and it was the little things in life that brought her great joy. Her passion was her family and she always greeted everyone with a “Good Squishing”. A kind, warm and gentle soul, Rita’s compassion for others was a model for her family. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Butler and the nurses of Bluewater Health. Thank you to the PSW’s who cared for mom with such compassion and dignity. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict’s Church on. Monday, April 29th at (time to be announced). Cremation to follow with private family burial at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery at a later date.
