August 22, 1925 – April 2, 2019
Died peacefully with family by her side at the Queen Elizabeth
Hospital. Marjorie was born in England to John and Florence Hooley.
Her family immigrated to Canada when she was 2 years old and settled
in the Eastern end of the Island.
Marjorie was the last remaining member of the original Hooley family
and was predeceased by her sisters Sylvia, Eileen and Norah and
brothers Keith, Vernon, Neil and Dunbar. Also predeceased by husbands
Winston Douglas, Capt. Henry Squarey and Ralph Fraser.
Loving mother of Allan (Glenda) Douglas, Baxter Squarey and Carol
(Bobby) Simmonds and special Mom to Pearl Green. Loving grandmother of
Alicia (Richie) Dove, Andrea Oslanski, Allison and Logan Douglas,
Justin (deceased), Troy and Jessica (Dan) Simmonds and great
grandmother of Aiden, Blake, Penelope, Leah, Noah, Azure, Angel and
Adelie.
Special thanks to the staff of Unit 2 for the exceptional care Mom
received, to Dr. Padraig Casey, staff and residents at Geneva Villa,
Mom’s last home and to all special family and friends for your
concern and caring over this difficult time.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. There will be no visitation or
service by request. Memorial donations may be made to the
Alzheimer’s Society, PEI.
