Passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019, Marcella Ann Ash (Butt) of Carbonear, age 66 years. Predeceased by parents: George and Susie Butt; sister: Maxine Slade; brother: Raymond; parents-in-law: Frederick and Bertha Ash; sisters-in-law: Doreen Butt and Gertie Grimes; brother-in-law: Brian Fillmore. Leaving to mourn her loving family, husband of 45 years: Calvin and their children who she adored, daughter: Lori (Josh) Hare, Paradise; three sons: Calvin (Christine), St. John’s, Darryl (Amie Sue), St. Phillip’s, Shawn (Lynn), Portugal Cove; eight precious grandchildren: Gavin, Nolan, Mollie, Joel, Cameron, Nicholas, Harper, and Palmer; four brothers: George (Teal) Butt, Dave Butt, Harold Butt, and Kenneth (Sandra) Butt; one sister: Judy Dawe; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Maurice Slade, Flo (Harry) Downey, Muriel (Frank) Patten, Emma Fillmore, Bertha (John) Nichol, Margaret (Dave) Penney, and Frank Grimes; special friends: Loretta and Stan Deering; also a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and close lifelong friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Monday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear. Cremation to follow. A private family inurnment will take place in the United Cemetery, Freshwater, Carbonear at a later date.
